JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Sushi Chef to start working ASAP. Food Lover’s requires the services of reputable Sushi Chef. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Matric
- Must have experience as Chef, Cook.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must live within 25km from job
- Must have clear criminal record.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To delegate tasks to kitchen staff
- To ensure appealing plate presentation
- To monitor food stock and place orders
- Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
- To ensure that all sushi is prepared and ready for compiling.
- Being able to follow the recipes using all the correct quantities of ingredients as well as creating new recipe templates for all new products before the products are made.
- When an ingredient is close to out of stock and order from the correct supplier.
- To take accurate stock take on a weekly basis
- To assist in the preparation of sushi ingredients, including cutting, slicing, and rolling.
- To learn and practice sushi-making techniques, such as nigiri, sashimi, maki, and more.
- To collaborate with fellow sushi chefs to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
- To maintain a clean and organised sushi station, following food safety and hygiene standards.
- To assist with inventory management and restocking of sushi supplies.
- To participate in maintaining the quality and consistency of sushi dishes.
