REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have PSIRA Grade A
- Must have matric/Grade 12
- Having Tertiary Qualification in Security Management is advantageous
- Must have proven experience in client centric public ralations and conflict handling as security manager
- Must have experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV, alarms, fire-detection)
- Must have experience in reporting and emergency response planning
- Must have valid Driver’s licence and own vehicle.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have high financial and business acumen, negotaition and influence – solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis
- Must have excellent Language proficiency and computer literacy – intricate working knowledge of MS Office package
- Must have sound Retail Risk security and distribution centre experience
- Corporate investigations and Loss prevention SOP procedures to reduce risks
- Must have 3-5 Years management and supervision experience in DC’s and retail
- Must have excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures – outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Must have ability to manage a team
- Training and Recruitment skills
- Emergency response and alarm systems skills
- Must have investigation and report writing skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To organize and oversees all security operations.
- To execute client site operating proccedures as per risk protection requirements
- Developing and implementing security policies, protocols and procedures
- Controlling budgets for security operations and monitoring expenses
- Recruiting, training and supervising security officers
- To attend parades, staff and client meetings
- To plan and coordinate security operations for specific sundry events & SLA requirements
- To coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms
- Review reports on incidents and breaches
- Investigate and resolve issues
- To direct Wages Labour Management control
- To contract Revenue contribution and Overhead control
- Effective logistical control and allocation of equipment, uniform, site assets, communication and patrolling tools, supervisory fuel, and security systems
- Effective site visits, inspections, audits, toolbox talks, health and safety with compliance control.
- Effective analysis of staff turn aligned to contract allocation, PRP device, biometric enrolment, clocking and rostering
- Effective management of costs in overtime, averaging, relievers
- Supervision and Training and Development
- To conduct regular pay query investigations, feedback and resolution, cnduct regular corrective disciplinary actions, performance assessments and give corrective feedback on all subordinates
- To maintain serious misconduct hearings, incapacity sick leave and poor performance aspects in accordance with code of conduct.
