JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Aviation Securities to start working ASAP. Fidelity Services Group requires the services of reputable Aviation Securities. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Certification in First Aid or Emergency Response.
- Must have experience with security technology, such as X-ray machines and metal detectors.
- Additional languages spoken other than English will be an asset.
- Must have familiarity with crisis management and incident response protocols.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have South African citizenship or permanent residency.
- Must have valid Aviation Security Officer certificate or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Must have proven experience in a security role, preferably within an airport or aviation environment.
- Must have strong understanding of aviation security regulations and procedures.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.
- Must have demonstrable problem-solving skills and the capacity to act decisively under pressure.
- Must have ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, baggage, and cargo to identify prohibited items.
- To monitor and respond to security incidents or alarms, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
- To perform regular surveillance and patrol of airport facilities to ensure the safety of passengers and staff.
- To enforce compliance with security regulations and procedures in accordance with the Civil Aviation Authority guidelines.
- To prepare detailed reports on security incidents, violations, and daily security operations.
- To provide assistance and information to passengers regarding security protocols and airport procedures.
- To collaborate with other airport personnel to enhance security measures and address potential threats.
- To attend training sessions to stay updated on security trends and regulatory changes relevant to the aviation industry.
