JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Plumber to start working ASAP. Empact Group requires the services of reputable Plumber. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have recognised Plumbing Trade Qualification / Trade Certificate
- Having red Seal or equivalent recognised plumbing qualification will be advantageous.
- Must have proven experience in residential, commercial, property or estate plumbing maintenance.
- Must have strong practical knowledge of plumbing systems, pipework, water supply, drainage and associated fixtures.
- Must have proven fault-finding and troubleshooting ability.
- Competent in the use of plumbing tools, equipment and materials.
- Must have knowledge and understanding of applicable health and safety requirements and plumbing regulations.
- Must have valid driver’s licence.
- Must have own reliable transport will be advantageous/required depending on operational requirements.
- Must have ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have good planning, organisation and time-management skills.
- Must have ability to respond to maintenance callouts and work outside normal hours when required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To install, repair and maintain plumbing systems, pipework, fixtures, fittings, water supply and drainage systems.
- To diagnose plumbing faults and implement effective and timely solutions.
- To conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify potential issues before they become major faults.
- To respond to plumbing maintenance requests and emergency call-outs as required.
- To carry out repairs and replacements to taps, toilets, valves, pipes, pumps, water heaters and other plumbing components.
- To ensure plumbing installations and repairs comply with applicable legislation, plumbing standards, building regulations and health and safety requirements.
- To perform pressure testing, leak detection and fault-finding where required.
- To maintain and safely operate plumbing tools, equipment and materials.
- To work closely with the Facilities Officer, Handyman, site staff, contractors and other team members to ensure effective service delivery.
- To communicate professionally with residents, clients and site personnel regarding maintenance requirements, work progress and expected completion times.
- To maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, faults identified and outstanding maintenance requirements.
- To ensure work areas are left clean, safe and in an appropriate condition following completion of work.
- To identify recurring plumbing issues and recommend appropriate corrective or preventative measures.
- To maintain knowledge of relevant plumbing practices, regulations, technologies and industry developments.
