JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Our client is urgently looking for the qualified Store Driver to start working ASAP. Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited requires the services of reputable Store Driver. You may apply before deadline in case you are interested and have required qualifications as short-listed below.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant wishing to apply for this job must meet the following qualifications;
- Must have Matric (Grade 12)
- Must have Valid Driver License.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
The applicant must have the following skills and competences
- Must have Driver license and own reliable transport
- Must be South African citizen or valid work permit
- Must have Clear credit and criminal records
- Must be in good physical health this includes good eyesight
- Must be willing to be rotated to where needed and must be willing to perform any other function within the store, should the need arise.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will have to implement the following duties but not limited to:
- To safely transport products to customer locations in a timely, safe and courteous
- All the cash and product receipts must be given to the cashier before the close of business
- The correct products must be delivered to the correct customer within the specified time
- Fridge line deliveries must be prioritized and transported using cooler boxes and cold packs
- To use the shortest and most efficient route to the customer and back to the Store
- To return back to the store immediately after a delivery
- After completion of deliveries, the vehicle must be repacked to prevent boxes from falling and damaging the stock or vehicle
- Be fully accountable for all damages and losses throughout the delivery process
- To provide special care when delivering fragile and hazardous products
- To comply with minimum standards of efficiency and accuracy, in order to meet the Dis-Chem requirements
- To follow delivery/ pickup instructions from management
- All collections and store returns must be correctly checked, signed for and returned to the receiving area
- All delivery paperwork must be signed upon delivery
- Have the correct names, contact details and addresses of customers before leaving on a delivery trip
- All invoices recorded on the delivery log sheet must be available and correctly recorded
- All invoices must be signed in the correct manner and report any discrepancies to the relevant manager
- To comply with the Dis-Chem stores vehicle policy at all times
- To complete and maintain an accurate vehicle logbook
- Process payments on all transaction via EFT and cash payment options. Cheques are not to be accepted
- The vehicle must be locked at all times during the delivery process
- Responsible to keep the vehicle clean and washed
- To inspect vehicle for any defects and safe operational conditions before, during and after trips and report any concerns to the manager
- To report on all accidents and incidents involving drivers or company equipment immediately
- Adhere to the road traffic rules and regulations as per the road traffic act
- Be responsible for any traffic fines allocated to the vehicle he/ she is driving
- To maintain effective and efficient relationships with internal and external customers to improve operating efficiencies
- Establish long-term customer relationships through providing a prompt and courteous service
- Uphold professional behavior when dealing with customers
- To report customer complaints, and requests, and give accurate feedback to management
- Adhere to all applicable Dis-Chem policies and standard operating procedures
- Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations
- To comply with the company uniform policy at all times.
